Celebrate Teaching Day

An event at Georgia Tech on March 14, 2017 for which I made a poster describing my pedagogy
Every year, the Center for Teaching and Learning at Georgia Tech hosts an event, Celebrating Teaching Day. In addition to recognizing faculty that have received various teaching awards and a keynote luncheon featuring a talk on innovative teaching methods, the event features posters from a variety of pedagogically focused faculty on campus. I contributed a poster this year entitled Applying Critical Digital Humanities Pedagogies to Technical Communication and Software Design. Based off my experiences teaching Technical Communication and Software Design Strategies at Georgia Tech, the poster describes my teaching philosophy for this course and features work by some of my students. This year, the student work shows different stages of an application two different teams of students are building entitled, Street Art in Atlanta. They are building this application as of their Junior Design Capstone project under my guidance.

In addition to my poster below, see this TECHStyle article describing the event and showing the work of my colleagues!

The poster includes text boxes that describe my teaching philosophy and biography, and features images taken from my students' "Street Art in Atlanta" Applications. As well, there are QR codes linking to each teams' mid-project demo.
